Chief Administrative Officer and lead academic and student affairs administrator for the campus. In conjunction with the appropriate vice president or director, the Provost provides oversight for all instructional offerings, workforce training, student services, academic support services, facility management, safety and security, faculty support, information technology infrastructure, and otherfunctions and operations that occur at the campus. The Provost builds and maintains strong relationships with the many communities served by the campus, to include civic groups, business and industry, and other educational institutions. The Provost works with other senior leaders and members of the college community to carry out the institutional mission and to realize the strategic goals of the college.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the campus and was the immediate supervisor of all campus personnel. Helped oversee the physical plant including furniture, equipment, and grounds of the campus. Helped supervise the security, sanitation, and safety of the campus and direct community relations. Co-developed and implemented the budget of the campus. Supervised both full-time and part-time faculty of the campus in all matters other than curriculum and instruction. Helped coordinate student services and the information technology activities and recommended instructional programs for the campus to the appropriate vice president.

As associate provost, my primary role was that of campus leader for student affairs. My areas of oversight included: admissions, advising, appeals, bookstore, business office, disabilities, food services, grievances, records, registration, student activities, testing, and tutoring. In addition to leading the student affairs division, I assisted the provost in the overall campus operations and represented the provost in his absence.

As college-wide testing administrator, I planned, organized, and directed all activities and initiatives relating to testing programs for admissions, competency, and graduation. I represented the college with regard to all local, state, and national testing-related programs.

In the position of college-wide student system support manager, I managed, planned, and developed the college’s student system support relative to key functional business processes such as admissions, registration, course and faculty management, student and faculty self-service, advisement and other functional areas that provide support to students and staff.

As the Title III grant instructional development coordinator, I helped develop innovative instructional strategies and coordinate instructional development activities that enhanced the success and retention of college prep students and encouraged more under-prepared students to attend college.

I assisted approximately twenty university transfer students each term in their academic advising, registration, transfer, and career outlook needs. As an instructor, I taught technology-enhanced and project-based remedial mathematics courses, assisted with peak advising and registration, and administered diagnostic and exit math examinations.
