Hacking 4 Defense - Problem Sponsor: Presented and supported an academic problem solving course, titled “Hacking 4 Defense” at Georgetown University and Texas A&M. The students ranged from Undergraduates, Graduate students and PhD candidates. Problem #1- Enhance the people management burden during a two aircraft carriers (~6000 personnel) swap.Problem #2 - Streamline the deployment cycle and maintenance personnel reorganization for expeditionary helicopter squadrons.

Chief of Operations - Prioritized and managed the daily and future operations for a crew of 2,700+ personnel aboard a nuclear aircraft carrier. Led three sub-departments of 141 personnel from three disparate enlisted ratings in Air Operations, Strike Operations and the Combat Direction Center. - Maintained and trained crew to operate Ship Self-Defense System which fuses passive and active sensors, weapon systems and countermeasures to help protect the aircraft carrier.Complex Enterprise Program Management - Project Champion for the four year and $5.2B midlife Refueling & Complex Overhaul (RCOH) at Newport News Shipyard with a focus on habitability and hotel-like services (lighting, electrical, ventilation, decking and quality of life initiatives) for 2,396 rehabilitated spaces. Provided guidance and direction for military, government contractors, civilian contractors and sub-contractors to meet project milestones, meeting all production completion timelines. The RCOH occurs for the aircraft carrier when it reaches 25 years of service. Upon completion, the aircraft carrier will return to service for an additional 25 years of life. ***PMP certified******IMPACT***- Developed mental health initiatives with experts in the field to address two DoD & congressional mandated investigations.- Consolidated and organized aircraft carrier requirements of hardware and software upgrades for future funding (5 years out), including sensors, radars, weapon systems, and quality of life initiatives.- Implemented procedures for first east-coast aircraft carrier incorporation of two new aircraft for the Air Wing of the Future, requiring complex classification of spaces and relocation recommendations for personnel.

Provided instruction and evaluation for squadron personnel in pre-deployment and training syllabus progression for 4 different helicopters: MH-60S, MH-53E and the MQ-8B & C (Vertical Takeoff Unmanned Air Vehicle).Organizer of quarterly large-force "SAVAGE ICE" exercises, providing training opportunities for weapon employment and integration across east-coast helicopter squadrons and other services (Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard). These events were multi-day, highly integrated across cross-functional assets.Executed operational test and evaluation of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures for improvement of helicopter employment of new sensors and weapons systems. Leader, mentor, and trainer for 65 incredible multi-disciplinary instructors which have daily influence of over 2,500 aircrew, maintainers and support personnel.

Requalification in the MH60S helicopter, required for all aircrew who have not flown in over a year. Attended schools for aviation safety, executive-level legal services and leadership best practices.

-Flight Hour Program Manager - Expended a Commander Naval Air Forces 7B Operational Training and Readiness (OPTAR) budget of $117M for eight operational squadrons, resulting in the safe execution of 44,696 flight hours, including 11,020 hours in support of overseas contingency operations. -Helicopter Operations Officer - Coordinated scheduling, training and operational employment of 19 MH-60R/S helicopters spanning six detachments geographically disaggregated during Operation NEW DAWN and ENDURING FREEDOM. -Helicopter subject matter expert and Weapons and Tactics Instructor for Carrier Air Wing Commander. -Personnel Recovery and Combat Survivor Evader Locator (CSEL) survival radio subject manner expert; lead trainer for 273 squadron personnel in the full functionality of the CSEL radio in preparation for extensive combat operations.
