Black-box Quality Engineering lead for cross-platform sync technologies including the host/device syncing of multimedia and personal content. Lead efforts for manual testing of the iOS Sync experience on both macOS and Windows platforms.

iPod’s Desktop Integration team is responsible for the quality of all iPod-Desktop interactions. Responsible for testing and validation of iTunes Updater Library, iTunes and File System Sync performance of all iPods, and testing and validation of several factory tools used in production. Was instrumental in the implementation of a comprehensive, multi-platform sync performance automation system using Eggplant/Sensetalk, as well as automating several in-house and factory test scenarios. Tested and qualified sync services for both media and other data for all traditional iPods beginning with the 4th Generation iPod Nano and iPod Classic.

Responsible for the management and supervision of a team of eight Mac Genius technicians. Ensured compliance to company goals and metrics, and acted as liaison with store management. Coached and assisted struggling staff members and on several occasions helped to transform opportunities into top performers. Played an active role in assisting store management with decision-making and store maintenance/operations. Consistently attempted to supply “outside the box” solutions and ideas for improvement to store systems. Improved Quarter-to-date Turn Around Time by close to 6 days, from 7.01 days in Fiscal Year ’06, to 1.6 days at present. Hired and trained seven new Geniuses.

Responsible for performing the duties of a help desk agent, providing walk-in support to customers with both hardware and software issues. Also responsible for performing hardware triage and repair in a professional and timely manner. Took an active role in developing, streamlining, and automating in-store processes and procedures with both hardware and software based solutions. This position requires training and three certifications from Apple Computer: Certified Help-Desk Specialist, Certified Desktop Technician, and Certified Laptop Technician.
