Woop was a pioneer attempt in creating a sports web tv site. It offered its visitors live streaming events and original video content, including live games of Olympiacos FC in HD, the World Moto GP championship, the Spanish League basketball games, Greek Mixed Martial Arts events, etc. Apart from the typical advertising sales, I was able to create commercial products that could be offered during these live events, a first for the Greek market. Revenues increased by 336%.

Out There Media, Athens, Greece, October 2009 – December 2010Sales Director, Greece. ΟΤΜ is a multinational mobile marketing company. I was responsible for evangelizing mobile advertising and educating agencies and clients of the opportunities offered. We developed tailor-made proposals and products and presented them to the market. We successfully produced campaigns for large multinational companies (FMCGs, Auto makers, Bet/Casino) and local clients (FMCGs, Universities, Banks, Content Sites). My duties also included the casino/bet market for all our offices worldwide and the implementation of the Salesforce platform for the company.

Online Advertising and Development DirectorAthinorama is the leading entertainment publisher. I was tasked with creating a digital team within the commercial department. I proceeded in developing a new site, new commercial products, increased our exposure to the market, created a user-friendly media kit, and reestablished and expanded client relations. Digital revenue tripled.

E-market is the largest Greek auction site. Naftemporiki is one of the most respected news/business publishing company. I was responsible for organizing a digital sales team, and developing the site’s digital advertising products and policies. Furthermore, I expanded the site’s client list and tried to create additional revenue streams. There was a 43% increase in revenues.

Sport.gr was the oldest sports sites in Greece, and the only one with a subscription-based model.My duties other than sales included business development and increasing the site’s visitation numbers. Of course, I met clients and agencies directly to educate them about digital advertising and present them with the advertising solutions we offered. I was also tasked with growing the subscription base. Sales increased yearly by 65%.

I had the great opportunity to work as a substitute history teacher for grades 7, 10 and 11. The greatest job ever! Preparation for the class was really difficult, but with help from the head of the Humanities Department, things went well. I was offered a junior position in the department, a great honor.

In an era of 56k modems, I got involved in digital media, planning and buying, as well as account management. Volunteered to serve as an officer in a Special Forces unit.After 8 months of intense training in various military schools, including unorthodox warfare, weapons and small team tactics training, leadership skills, heavy weapons training, etc, I was assigned to a unit in northern Greece. My duties there included command of the heavy weapons squad, I was the safety officer at the shooting range, was training instructor, and was also responsible for the platoon’s warehouse.
