Successfully addressing yield issues on a frequent basis by pulling and debugging samples from automated production for bench verification. Also working closely with test engineers to determine underlying reasons for products occasionally failing proven tests. Successfully prototyping and conducting bench qualification of circuit changes to modules. Performing timely root cause analysis of RMAs and process related issues. Generating 8D reports and incorporated corrective action. Recently have been working with design engineering on successfully transferring Vertical Power Modules into our Sustaining Engineering group.• Acquired skills on using dental drills for carefully opening up PRM and NBM modules.• Made circuit improvements in NBM2317 modules that balances output current limit protection with inrush-current protection.• Reviewed test data and changed unreasonably tight limit for diode drop measurement, which increased yield by approximately 5%.• Successfully qualified new power MOSFETs to mitigate supply risk and lower costs by 7%.• Discovered mold intrusion into core gaps, which lowers efficiency. Recommended prolonged oven baking, which improved performance and allowed for shipping customer order on due date.• Drove cross-functional project of optimizing drive and power train core gapping of BCM modules to achieve maximum efficiency.• Identified Electrical Overstress (ESD) to SDA and SCL lines of Picor ZVS Controller IC of an RMA unit after performing failure analysis, which included iterative de-processing of module and micro-probing with curve-tracer as well as imaging defect IC location.• Performed diligently failure analysis of RMAs and provided failure analysis reports within 7 days. This included updating databases for RMAs and Failure Analysis Tracking System.
