Leading projects and overseeing finance operations related to global retail services for the Royal Navy. My role involves financial aspects as planning, budgeting, P&L performance reviews, stock, accruals, Bank reconciliations and month end period tasks amongst others elements of management accounting.

I worked directly with the CFO, who was an excellent mentor to me. I undertook projects to streamline invoice payments. I was also involved in financial accounting, helping to create quarterly financial projections.

Polyclear Group is a national leader in developing and implementing polythene packaging solutions. I worked at the company's Southampton headquarters.I worked under the direction of the company's lead management accountant. My key task was undertaking book keeping duties and in-putting daily entries. I also led on bank reconciliation. More strategically, I contributed to budget forecasting, helping to plan company expenditure and cost savings. As part of the finance team, I helped save the company £8,000 per annum by implementing a paperless administration system.I oversaw the work of two payroll assistants, ensuring they completed payment spreadsheets and processed invoices within required timescales. This included providing guidance, maintaining an overview of task completion and checking work completed.All of these responsibilities involved client relationship skills. I worked with clients on the financial aspects of contracts, to ensure efficient costing of services and timely invoice payments.

Leges is an academic publishing company. I produced reports for senior managers to help grow the company.
