Many students came from an environment of drugs, crime, and bullying. Developed course, Educating For the 21st Century, and did in-service training for school systems in Florida (200 teachers at a time, 8-hr trainings) based on this work. Created and implemented program for dealing with "bullying". Published article series in a Florida state educational magazine.

Designed and implemented a program for youth with severe ADHD and hoarding disorders. Participants were not able successfully attend other public programs... Yet here they flourished - working in teams, effectively collaborating, compromising, and resolving conflicts to achieve their group projects. Positive social interaction was needed to reach the goals they achieved.

Frankfurt Am Main Area, Germany

Worked with families facing the stress and uncertainty of military service. Responsible for 3,000 youth. When I arrived, the base had a big problem (public relations problem, as well) with teens doing drugs on the German economy in Frankfurt. Re-branded the Youth Center, engaging a teen council, officers, wives’ clubs, even the General in charge of NATO Operations. We went from the worst, to winning the #1 Youth Center in the entire US Air Force worldwide.

In the 1970’s, inner-city Atlanta near the stadium, was a hot-bed for crime, drugs and prostitution. The teaching tools provided were insufficient to meet the challenges these children faced, so I developed my own learning materials that encompassed emotional needs, as well as educational goals. The materials I created were borrowed and used at Georgia State University to teach new teachers.
