Passionate and dynamic aspiring educator with the University of Coventry, with a solid educational foundation gained as both a full-time school student and part-time adult learner, I possess a comprehensive understanding of the UK’s education system, spanning both Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE). I am currently also a RSC scholar with their ITT scholarship programme, providing support to become a chemistry specialist teacher. My journey includes hands-on experience as an unqualified teacher and tutor, delivering engaging science and math classes to lower-set and Special Educational Needs (SEN) students in local primary and secondary schools across Greater London. Nationally, I extend my impact by providing valuable support to educators, as a chemistry specialist, with GlamSci, a registered charity devoted to inspiring the next generation, with a particular focus on encouraging young women and disadvantaged young men to pursue STEM subjects and careers. As well as leading the organisation an a CEO for the organisation. My professional interests lie in science education, particularly chemistry, science communication in the media, and the dynamics of formative assessment, communication, and student-teacher interactions in the classroom, with a keen focus on utilizing Assessment for Learning (AFL) methodologies in a STEM setting.As an accomplished motivational speaker, I have had the privilege of addressing young people and women at notable events such as the Big Bang Birmingham in collaboration with WISE and the international CPD teaching event, World Teach In, hosted at Imperial College London.Renowned for my prolific STEM and educational communication skills, I have contributed to various publications, including The Telegraph and Learning and Work Institute. Additionally, I proudly hold affiliations with esteemed organizations such as the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Royal Society of Biology (RBS), and The Biochemical Society, with active connections to the Institute of Physics (IOP) and the Royal Society.
