About Gaëtan Lavenu
My Esri experience:I have been working for Esri France since 1997. I started as instructor and technical expert on many Esri solutions from ArcInfo Workstation to ArcGIS Platform (Desktop, Enterprise, Runtime, Online, Web and Mobile). I then acquired a solid experience in management as responsible for the training team and later the technical support team. My last positions at Esri, have been more focused on technical communication and marketing. I was the manager of the Technical Marketing team for 3 years. I'm now working as Technology Watch Manager and Geo-Evangelist, embodying the technological vision of Esri.I'm the founder and writer of the french blog "arcOrama" (http://www.arcorama.fr) followed by 5000 readers per month. My Google experience:I worked for 9 months for "Web Geo Services", a startup specialized in Geo-Cloud. Created in 2009, WGS provides a SaaS platform called WGS Portal, based on Google Geo APIs. I'm managing the product marketing of the WGS Portal platform. Working with Google France Geo-Team, I'm developing prototypes to promote the use of the Google Geo Services (Google Maps for Business, Google Maps Engine, Google Maps Coordinate...) in private and public organizations in different markets: Utilities, Transportation, Retail, Bank/Insurance, Real-Estate,... In my spare time, I'm also a Geo-Evangelist communicating about Geo-Cloud platforms, Web Mapping and Location Analytics solution.
