In my remit as a student member of the council, I am responsible for voicing students' needs to the academics who run this institution, and defend the students' rights on campus - something which for long has been a priority of mine. This post will allow me to communicate better what is going on at University, as the students, major stakeholders within the institution, deserve to know. It will also be my responsibility to work closely with the representatives of the government on this council to bridge the gaps between the student body and the government. My intention is to work harder for better project management and the securing of funds for research purposes, as well as to analyse and work closely on the distribution and prioritisation of funds at the University.If there is anything you need me to clarify about this post and the Council as an organ at the University, or perhaps if there is any assistance you may require, please get in touch!

The President is elected directly by the students and is the Chair of the Executive. He has the work of all the other members and consults them in matters which fall within their competency.The President represents the elected Executive within the Commissions established by the Statute. He is an ex officio member of each structure within KSU and always has the right to vote. Among other competencies and obligations, the President shall: - Ensure that the global policy of KSU is coherent and keep the principle of continuity as a basis for this consideration; - Maintain continuous contact with all the parts of the Executive and shall be conscious of the developments in all the spheres of activity of KSU; - Coordinate the administration of KSU with the help of the Vice-President and the Secretary General as he deems, in his absolute discretion, to be necessary; - Maintain continuous contact with the representatives of NSTF.

The Culture and Entertainment Office is responsible for coordinating the activities and initiatives of the Executive and the other Commissions in the field of Culture and Entertainment. The Officer and the Coordinator shall therefore: -Draft a plan for activities which may take place and present this for the approval of the Executive. This plan shall include the Students’ Festival and cultural activities; - Encourage students to participate more in extracurricular university life by executing the activity plan and by assisting student organisations, university entities and other entities in activities they may organise; - Coordinate the administration of the KSU Hall (Junior Common Room); - Promote culture and sport among the Members at a national level; - Take every initiative, organise every activity and create every other project which they deem to fall within the sphere of culture and entertainment.

Therefore,in addition to continuing the actions MedNet has carried until now, MedNet’s main goal is to establish itself as a formal network where Northern and Southern Mediterranean student representatives will work together on common issues. Student representatives will contribute to the production and the promotion of a common Mediterranean Policy on the educational, social, political, cultural and economical field.

I am mainly responsible for business development, sales and marketing initiatives within the Company, including but not limited to the preparation of market analysis through the evaluation of new prospects, preparing sales activity reports, sourcing new clients and carrying out all tasks necessary at any phase of the sale effort required to close new clients. I also take care of our corporate image and Company profile which can be used with current and prospective clients alike, including responsibilities relating to the development of any such material required to support such corporate image and sales and marketing effort, such as hard copy media, videos, presentations, events, fairs, exhibitions, campaigns and any other support required to develop said marketing collateral. I am also responsible for the Company’s client web platform and maintaining an updated online system which ensures proper records and the preparation of accurate periodic financial statements together with selected reports on the customer’s performance and financial position to be presented to the customers at scheduled board meetings and ad hoc meetings where and when required (using Opes Kashflow).Overall, I assist the Company’s Directors in the coordination of all company and customer-related jobs, initiatives, works or services required throughout the course of employment, including the provision of any necessary assistance required in the negotiation of new contracts or renewing existing customers and suppliers, providing management or co-ordination support, together with assisting the Company in all tasks required for the proper management and co-ordination of the Company and its customer’s ongoing business.

GRTU: Association of General Retailers and Traders is Malta's national organisation of independent private businesses. Established in 1948 originally as a shop-owners union, today GRTU represents the widest cross section of proprietor managed enterprises in Malta.
