Ballast Control OperatorResposible for: • Monitor the stability of the facility for loading, shifting, discharge and dewatering. • Perform weight shift and center of gravity calculation, anticipate effect of weight changes, and take appropriate action to keep facility stable. Keep the Barge Supervisor and the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) informed of any changes. • Monitor the Anchor Monitoring System. • Participate with maintenance of all Marine systems for the facility.• Check bilges and operate ballast equipment each tour.• Monitor environmental conditions and inform the Barge Supervisor of any pending weather changes that could affect the facility. • Perform damage scenarios for the facility and participate in drills with the Barge Supervisor and Offshore Installation Manager. • Actively participate in the weekly fire and abandon platform drills and be familiar with the facility Emergency Evacuation Plan.• Work with the Barge Supervisor to keep the facility Marine Operations Manual current by making changes as appropriate. • Maintain current Life Boat Operator license and serve as Life Boat Operator for Platform as needed. • Work with 3rd party contractors for periodic hull inspections, Remote Operated Vehicle operations, etc. • Attend occasional off-site meetings. • Be prepared and willing to relieve Barge Supervisor in his absence. • Continuously update the Marine Logs on a daily basis
