Duties included:- Establishing design requirements with clients.- Pricing design work and compiling fee proposals for review and acceptance by clients.- Site visits, including condition surveys and topographical surveys.- Specifying topographical survey and ground investigation requirements.- Producing calculations including hand calculations, structural FEA models andcalculations using specialised software e.g. slope stability analysis and arch bridgestability checks.- Writing technical reports.- Producing design drawings using AutoCAD.- Working with survey data including total station measurements and laser scan data.- Compiling documents relevant to design submissions such as design risk assessments,statements of design intent.- Communicating with suppliers to acquire technical product information, availability andprices for products to be specified in designs.- Liaising with clients regarding design changes.- Addressing technical queries.- Producing invoices for clients at project completion.
