• After earlier roles in concept development and then bringing Digital Tutor into production, I moved into the VP role to oversee further development of the product, leading diverse software and content engineering teams.

• Oversaw the introduction of Generative AI (ChatGPT API) to greatly improve the interpretation of student remarks.

• In response to the pandemic shutdown threat, spearheaded the rapid and successful transition of the Digital Tutor into a full-stack web application. This allowed the company to stay in operation and minimized.

• Given the responsibility of bringing Digital Tutor from proof of concept into production. Built from scratch the core engineering team of 12 and oversaw the establishment and growth of the company’s development.
• Architected the modularization of the company's code base, streamlining the delivery of new features and bug fixes to production. Worked with QA to establish a successful process for validating new releases.
• Oversaw the development of a sophisticated integrated testing system for the Digital Tutor platform and content, including the ability to automatically create test cases from student sessions.
• Led the successful transformation of the initial Digital Tutor version into a successful distributed and scalable working product.
• Designed the domain-specific language for authoring the lesson content; led the development of the compiler and of the runtime engine for this language.

• Designed and implemented the proof of concept of the Digital Tutor. Key accomplishments include:
• Designed and developed an AI system for analyzing and refining knowledge about the state of the virtual machines the student was working on.
• Created a semantic web graph that maintains tutor’s knowledge about the world and about the student
• Developed the detector module for actions performed by the student on the virtual machine
• Designed initial version of the conversation module that talks to the student
• Took over implementation of the event queue server, greatly improving efficiency of the code.
