Responsible for the development and review of new and revised qualifications. Applying policies, guidance and advice in relation to qualifications development, assessment, design rules, quality standards and process requirements. Providing feedback on the FutureQuals qualification development process and making suggestions for improvements.

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Qualification Development team and our Digital and e-Learning design team. Influencing commercial direction through the identification of current and future development opportunities based on knowledge and experience around UK education and skills policy developments

With 40,000 members in 121 countries the CISI is the professional body which sets examinations and offers qualifications for those working, or looking to establish a career in, the wealth management and capital markets industry. The role of Exams Manager ensures that the CISI qualifications are run efficiently and in line with the requirements of Ofqual, the FCA and other industry regulators as well as CISI policy.

The BAC is an independent organisation established in 1984 to be the national accrediting body for independent post-16 education in the UK (also currently working with institutions overseas). The BAC is concerned in its accreditation work with the quality assurance and enhancement of independent institutions that receive no government funding. In my role as Operations Manager and as a member of the senior management team, I was responsible for overseeing inspection and accreditation services, business development and office support services.

Scheduling and Invigilating paper and on-line exams (A Level, GCSE, vocational, professional) under various Awarding Organisation rules and regulations (JCQ). Interviewing prospective students, processing applications, allocating courses, assessing funding eligibility and recording outcomes. (Contract when required).

Responsibilities:• Lead, manage and undertake specific work related to qualification development (VRQ, (S)NVQ etc.), review and support for all seven sectors on behalf of the Standards and Qualification team.• Manage the relationship with Awarding Organisations across all seven sub-sectors in SkillsActive’s footprint.• Manage the operational work of the Sport and Fitness Employer Group and lead on the deliver of the strategy and action plan.• Coordinate the activity of the Fitness Technical Expert Group.• Coordinate the activity of the Fitness Level 4 Technical Expert Group.• Lead the technical work associated with Sports Ground Safety standards and qualifications.• Manage funded projects on behalf of employers in the sport and fitness sectors e.g. the Joint Investment Programme, Universal Services projects.• Lead and deliver the review of National Occupational Standards in the area of Fitness, Sport and Spectator Safety.• Act as line manager the Standards and Qualification team based in London and Scotland.
