Proud to have helped significantly increase biometric business from the top to bottom of the big island. Roles include concepts, pre-sales, demonstrations, design, development, delivery, training and support for law enforcement agencies and drivers licences. Also interested in focusing back on NZ if an opportunity arises.

Research and Development at NEC New Zealand was focused on growing the synergies that collaboration partners and the NEC group internationally had to provide innovative solutions into New Zealand. As a technology company with world leading technologies NEC enabled customers to maximise and improve efficiencies within their business. Often these solutions and the surrounding knowledge is focused on a particular customer and outcome, one of our focuses in New Zealand was to develop business using these technologies and skills in new market segments and verticals.NEC had formalised collaboration partnerships with WelTec in Wellington, and NZi3 part of Canterbury University in Christchurch. These partnerships allowed a deeper understanding of how technology can fit far more business needs than previously imagined and initiated further partnerships as well as workshops with local businesses.

Based in the Wellington office, Glen is the Technical Sales Lead for Facial Recognition Solutions for the New Zealand and Australian markets. In his role, Glen is responsible for promoting and implementing NEC’s facial recognition (NeoFace) solutions in areas including identity management, security and surveillance.Glen has over 20 years experience in the ICT sector starting his career as a software developer in the telecommunications field before moving into system and solution development and most recently into biometrics and more particular, facial recognition solution development. Glen’s broad range of experience and skills includes exposure to time critical software, practical applications, web based solutions, hardware engineering and graphical design; all of which allows him to provide customer focused practical solutions to his customers.
