In Laos, my team supports continuous production at our world-class Phu Kham and Ban Houayxai operations by managing the interface with the Government of Laos. I am charged with securing the Frieda River Copper-Gold Project's business and social licenses to operate for PanAust. I work with the Government of Papua New Guinea at all levels, local communities and other stakeholders to lay the basis for a shared approach to the development of the world-class Frieda River Project.

I develop the PanAust Group's stakeholder engagement strategies encompassing government relations in Australia and the Pacific (including in relation to the Frieda River Project in PNG), and internal and external communications across the group (in Asia, Australia and Latin America).In PNG, I secure and maintain the company's license to operate, working closely with the Government of PNG (and Australia) at all levels, the business community, civil society, the media and NGOs. My team anchors the company's strategic outreach activities, which are designed to support business objectives. The company website, corporate video productions, and annual publications - including the annual review and sustainability report - are among the key channels of communication.

As Regional External Affairs Manager, I developed and implemented PanAust Asia's external engagement strategies in countries across the region including Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Managing teams in five countries, I supported PanAust Asia's existing operations and worked closely with the company's commercial and exploration teams to identify opportunities for business improvement and expansion.Among my accomplishments I negotiated an agreement with the Asian Development Bank to provide a $6 million grant towards a water supply and sanitation program. The agreement, which was executed in October 2013, was the first time a private sector donor had provided grant finance to one of the ADB's sovereign projects.

As Manager External Affairs I secure and maintain the company's licenses to operate in South-East Asia. Managing a multi-national external affairs and communications team, I develop and implement PanAust Asia’s strategies for engagement with governments, embassies, international financial institutions and media in the region.

Counsellor, Economic and TradeI was responsible for advancing Australia's trade and investment interests in Thailand and providing policy advice to the government on the bilateral relationship. Managing a team of 16-staff, I provided economic analysis, trade policy advice and crisis management expertise. I also managed an innovative public diplomacy program (PR, communications, media management and events) on a shoestring budget.

I managed comprehensive reviews of military and civilian management systems across Australia and made recommendations to improve the oversight, efficiency and effectiveness of those systems.
