I have worked at Teesport Container Terminal ( TCT ) for 15 years . My job role includes the operating of ship to shore gantry cranes with a lifting capacity of forty tonnes.Within this role i have obtained relevant expertise and experience in the loading and unloading of containerised cargos. Other duties include the operating of container handler reach stackers with the lifting capacity of forty five tonnes, slinging and rigging .

I was employed at Lloyds British Lifting as a lifting gear inspector,where my daily duties were to inspect,service,repair and test all aspects of lifting equipment in line with Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 ( LOLER ) . I progressed within the company to the site services department where i was involved in the servicing,inspection and testing of cranes and lifting equipment. other duties included inspection,repair and testing of hydraulic jacks,chain blocks,pull lifts, chain slings and all other associated lifting equipment. the role involved producing statuory certificates, and producing vital diagnostic recommendations from the initial inspection.

Sunderland

After leaving school i began a 2 year apprenticeship with Sunderland AFC. My daily duties consisted of professional football training and competitive matches.This role involved strict discipline and a willing to learn.
