Since Aug 2022, I have been a research student in Nanyang Technological University in Assistant Prof Shingo Ito's lab working on polycyclic aromatic molecules. Prior to that, I worked with osmium clusters under Associate Professor Leong Weng Kee for my final year project, and was able to complete my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 3 years due to some module exemptions and overloading of modules.I am honoured to have had the opportunity to represent Singapore in the International Chemistry Olympiad during my final year of high school. My journey in Chemistry Olympiad also provided me with many opportunities to teach fellow juniors, some of whom represented Singapore in the International Chemistry Olympiad in later years, clinching Gold and Silver medals.My teaching experience began in 2013 while I was still in high school. Having taught students individually and in a class setting; in tuition centres and privately, my teaching styles have evolved over the years. I have taught 'O' level Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, 'A' level H2 Chemistry, and also trained students for Chemistry Olympiad. My passion for teaching remains alive till this day.Outside of Chemistry, I am also interested in picking up new languages. I have been learning Korean for 5 years and Russian for 2 years. I have also learnt Indonesian previously but have not had the chance to use it in a while. Being a native speaker of English and Mandarin also prompted me to take up a minor in Translation during my undergraduate years.I have a slight interest in Mathematics, particularly in the field of Abstract Algebra.
