Seconded into Northumbrian Water's Cost Estimation Team, I was involved in the development of 'iMOD' which is a sophisticated CAPEX, OPEX and Whole Life Carbon modelling system.I was responsible for producing clean and waste water estimates for NWL's MEAV, PR09 and PR14 submission to OFWAT using both 'iMOD' and traditional estimating techniques including but not limited to:- Bishopton STW - Primary Storm Tanks - circa £1.4m- West Rainton / Leamside STW Primary Tanks - circa £569k- Nethead STW - Flow and Primary Tanks - circa £431kTasked with developing individual civils, mechanical and electrical ‘component’ cost models incorporating CAPEX, OPEX, WLC and Carbon data for their inclusion within 'iMOD' and the subsequent development of detailed ‘Asset’ models.Contributed to regular progress meetings with key stakeholder within NWL’s cost estimation team to report on the development of 'iMOD' and associated cost estimates.I was also responsible for the production of several cost validation reports used to challenge external consultants feasibility estimates for a variety of high value schemes on behalf of South West Water, including the pricing of several alternative scope options e.g.- Woolsery Sewage Treatment Works – South West Water: Circa £787k- Hallwill Sewage Treatment Works – South West Water: Circa £515k- Ashwater Sewage Tratement Works – South West Water: Circa £208k

I was responsible for the successful delivery of a £20m/annum capital investment programme, designed to achieve the Governments 'Decent Homes Standards by 2010. Duties included the cost management and control of all aspects of the projects finances from inception to completion. Furthermore I was tasked with managing and supervising the project team, which, comprised of multi-discipline personnel, partnering contractors and external consultants.
