I worked 24 years for Alaska State Forestry, 2 years for ADF&G Div. of Habitat as a Biologist III, as a private forestry and wildlife habitat consultant. Alaska Forestry and Habitat Services - licensed with SOA. \I have many years ofbush Alaska experience as a homesteader, wildland fire fighter, remote camps manager, I was a registered big game hunting guide in Alaska. for 18-years and owned and operated my own big game guiding outfit for 10-years. Retired.Currently employed w/UAF CES as a part-time professional; CES Outreach Forester..I am Interested in appropriately sized timber harvest systems, forest management, Stewardship Plan Updates. I outreach to the entire State of Alaska for UAF CES. I live in Southeast Alaska on an off-grid, road accessible homestead with my wife, and we enjoy fishing, gardening, hunting, boating, beachcombing and travel. It rains a lot here, you wouldn't like it. I have extensive experience writing the UAF CES Boreal Forest Newsletter, articles, forestry brochures for the State and US Forest Service, writing, editing, and taking pictures for the newsletter, bi-monthly forestry blog and for CES Face book posts. Along with fishing and writing, I am also currently interested in Forest Stewardship Plan Updates.
