Manage Facility Operation for the United States Coast Guard Academy Campus by Directly supervising, delegating and coordinating high stress activities of several units of skilled Journeyman Maintenance Mechanics, Plumbers, HVAC Technicians and Pool Techs for utility distribution systems, electrical, water/sewer and steam, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration, swimming pools and preventive maintenance upkeep of all facilities.

* Create and manage agreement on formal description of facilities and maintenance services that directly affect the BOE; including planning and construction, new construction, remodeling, furnishing, management of all efforts relating to sustainability and management of utilities.* Implement a formal, transparent process between the School Building Committee and School Administration to prioritize upgrades and capital improvements* Recommend priorities and general strategies for facilities planning and construction* Support the implementation of the Facilities Master Plan* Establish a long-term capital plan for facility improvements and current major renovations* Design and develop a Capital improvement Plan including overseeing project managers* Guide planning and implementation and promote the integration of the District’s environmental stewardship efforts related to use of energy and potable water.* Oversees building maintenance budgets* Create and implement operational service level reporting protocols* Create and implement a monthly service/status-reporting dashboard to be used in the Infrastructure Management Team meetings and by the Superintendent to report to the Board of Education.* Implement an expeditious common work order management system for the school district* Provide oversight and implementation of technical projects including school building security, environmental health and safety technology, building maintenance, strategy planning, space planning.* Provide hands-on oversight and effective management experience in day-to-day maintenance and construction services
