I am a Board Member of the Agriculture & Horticulture Development Board, a public body sponsored by DEFRA to further the interests of several agriculture sectors within the UK. The role requires me to provide strategic leadership and ensure good governance across the Board, providing support and oversight to the executive team. I have specific responsibility for chairing the Pork Sector Council, which represents levy payers in the English pig and pork sector. I lead the Council in ensuring that levy funds are spent to maximise the return for levy payers and deliver value for money.I also sit on the Board's Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.

I created Chiron Corporate Services to provide executive support to small and medium sized investment and wealth management businesses. Chiron accepts engagements to deliver short-term project work, interim Board and SMF support, and part-time executive responsibilities. Typical engagements may include support with FCA authorisation, target market engagement, fund launches and reorganization, investment process and ESG integration, and FCA Handbook compliance.

I was a founder of Revera Asset Management in 2003. I became its Chief Executive in 2007. Revera launched with an Investment Trust and a number of family office/UHNW segregated accounts. It also launched a white label AIM IHT/BPR service. I coordinated and managed all of these processes. With the introduction of the original MiFID, the business took the decision to focus entirely on UCITS products. The investment trust was restructured and rolled over into an OEIC. I led that process.From 2008, the business grew steadily, distributing via the wholesale market in the UK. I created an inhouse CRM database, using MS Access and SQL. Face to face client engagement was a crucial part to the offering. Written communications were designed to be engaging and valuable to the expert and layman alike.The investment process developed both quantitatively and qualitatively. I designed and improved Excel models for historic due diligence and future profits and cash flow modelling. I Chaired and contributed data to a quarterly economic overview committee over the 19 years of Revera’s operation, which informed the macroeconomic and financial markets backdrop against which the stock selection process took place.I was the dedicated equity analyst for the food manufacturing and retail sectors, financial services and construction.As CF3/SMF1, I had overall responsibility for ensuring that clients received the best outcome possible. This is pretty easy if you simply put their interests ahead of yours.However, it gave me deep insight into, and understanding of, the FCA’s Handbook.I led the sale of Revera to an industry peer at the end of 2022. All shareholders recorded a healthy profit on their investment.

I was lead manager for Discovery Trust plc, a fully listed investment trust that invested in MicroCap UK equities. I was alternate manager for the Ivory & Sime UK Smaller Companies Trust plc, another listed investment trust.The investment style was a balance of qualitative and quantitative factors, and used Excel modelling to incorporate EVA and CFROI metrics into the investment decision making process.Participated in all Board meetings, and produced succinct and informative presentation packs for each meeting.I was the primary point of contact for all shareholders and potential shareholders.

I performed various roles in a family owned pork processing business. The business started as a single site bacon and cooked meats manufacturer, and developed in to a multi-site, integrated pork processor, covering slaughter, processing and retail packing. The business was a pioneer in the development of shelf-ready retail packs for the pork industry.
