Glen started his music career while still in high school singing with his own nine piece rock band called, Glen Pace and the Starlites back in the 50’s. He recorded with Norman Petty at the same time Norman was recording Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Buddy Knox, and Jimmy Bowen.Glen wrote their first single "My Night Off," which was released on a label Glen started called Satellite Records. The song became a hit in Europe, and has since become a collector’s item. Glen moved to the West Coast where he became a top recording engineer, record producer, and studio builder. His first studio build was a new United Audio location in Santa Ana, California. Glen continued working there as an engineer/producer, where he was the first one to record and work with Karen Carpenter, and also cut "Brown Eyed Woman" by Bill Medley.Glen and Dave Mancini started a studio building company together, and built some of the top studios on the west coast. Glen started Devonshire Sound with his partner Dave Mancini, which became one of the major studios complexes anywhere. A Who’s Who of the industry recorded at Devonshire, such as The Eagles, The Jackson Five, Whitney Houston, Billy Joel, Trini Lopez, Mike Post, Lionel Richey. While at Devonshire, Glen also produced and engineered the first self-titled Gypsy album, which was the second double album ever recorded. The Beetle’s White album was the first double album. The Gypsy album was on Metromedia Records and it was Metromedia’s most popular album. The album is still the all-time biggest underground album. Glen moved to Dallas in the seventies and built Autumn Sound where Willie Nelson recorded “The Red Headed Stranger,” “Sound In Your Mind,” and “The Family Bible” albums.After moving to Nashville in 1990, Glen built several top studios including Texana Sound and Abtrax. Glen now has a digital ProTools studio in his home near White House, Tennessee, and it is the best small studio Glen has ever built!
