As an instructional designer and owner of GS Professional Consulting LLC, I provide client-focused instructional design services, creating custom solutions for corporate training. My approach includes conducting a thorough needs analysis, working closely with subject matter experts, and designing engaging and effective learning experiences. I ensure that learning objectives are met through proper assessment and align with clients' goals. When the appropriate solution is an eLearning course, I prefer to employ Articulate 360 software due to its modern and adaptable user experience for learners across their Rise 360 and Storyline 360 applications. As an Instructional Designer at StrongMind, I collaborate with SME content developers, editors, and a creative team to design custom solutions for media-rich instructional courses.Most recently, I developed a new structure for instructional videos to ensure high-quality, focused instruction with appropriate cognitive load. This included an assessment of which topics will have the greatest return on investment, writing multiple styles of prototype scripts, working with graphic and motion designers to create engaging and appropriate visual content, recording voiceovers, and presenting the videos to stakeholders to gather feedback and make a determination of the final structure. As part of this process, I am also reviewing scripts, graphics, voiceovers, and animations to ensure content accuracy, alignment, appropriate cognitive load, as well as the appropriate length of video and skill level for the target audience.Additionally, I worked with content developers to create a prototype structure for a learning object repository and learning objects that consist of media-rich instruction, supplemental text instruction, and guided and independent practice.One of my primary responsibilities at StrongMind was to lead the design of 2 two-semester American Sign Language courses based on content provided by an external SME. My role included ensuring that the courses aligned with ACTFL and various state high school standards, creating clear student-facing objectives aligned with the standards, and confirming the mastery of the standards through appropriate assessments. I was also responsible for developing content using research-based instructional strategies.During my time at StrongMind, I stepped into various roles, including serving as a math and physical sciences subject matter expert, including peer reviewing content written by internal SMEs.

As a Physics Teacher, duties included: Teaching Physics, Honors Physics, AP Physics 1, and AP Physics 2 aligned to Arizona State standards (physics/honors physics) or to College Board Standards (AP1/AP2); classroom management; unit and lesson planning; writing formative and summative assessments aligned with both Arizona and College Board standards; planning and facilitating student labs; conducting demonstrations; providing additional assistance to students, including working with parents to develop plans for student success; differentiating instruction for students with different learning styles across a variety of abilities within the same classroom; including 504, IEP, and English Learner accommodations in classroom instruction and providing feedback in a formal meeting to refine the plan for student success; designed and built new AP curriculum that was presented to and approved by the Marana USD School Board; received approval for, started, and coached a FIRST Robotics team at Marana High School.While at Marana High School, I designed and built the district curriculum for the AP Physics 1 class in the 2014-2015 school year to replace the AP Physics B course that the College Board was removing. In the 2015-2016 school year, I created the framework and curriculum for the AP Physics 2 course and got the class approved by the MUSD Curriculum Management Team and the District Governing Board, for the 2016-2017 school year. Also during this time, I taught and co-planned Conceptual Physics with a second physics teacher at the school. In addition, in 2016-17, I worked with another teacher to successfully implement our school’s first science fair in accordance with SARSEF guidelines. In the 2017-18 school year, I helped to start a FIRST Robotics program and I am mentoring the mechanical and electrical build teams.

With the guidance of a mentor teacher, I took responsibility for classroom management, unit and lesson planning for 2 Physics classes. In addition, I provided assistance and taught lessons in Chemistry and AP Physics.

With the guidance of a mentor teacher, I learned, assisted, created and taught specific lessons in 8th grade general science. I actively participated in the Science department meetings and assisted with the special astronomy night.

At Synygy, I worked with a team to plan, build, test, implement and manage custom compensation management programs while being responsible for managing the development of the compensation calculations for the global energy distribution department of General Electric. I also coordinated with members of our team in Pune, India; Bucharest, Romania; and Philadelphia, PA to ensure round the clock access to services for our client.Our clients included GE, Office Max, and Coca Cola Bottling Company.Critical skills included: problem solving, customer service and computer skills. Required extensive knowledge of Excel, Visio, and WebEx, and other proprietary software.
