I am an ambitious Project Manager and Strategic Lead with over 14 years experience, working across a range of projects, managing people, time and resources to deliver successful projects, set strategies and build partnerships. I lead on development of Coventry City Councils Skills Strategy. I now lead on the Skills Strategy's Framework for Action, leading Action Groups which bring together skills providers, employers, stakeholders and funders to ensure that we get the very best skills provision for Coventry's residents and businesses. I influence funders such as WMCA to ensure that Coventry's needs are being met and support skills providers to develop and shape their offers. I have led on several funding bids and am experienced in bid writing and developing consortiums to succeed in securing funding such as ESF and CRF. For 3 years previous to my current role I led a successful ERDF Business Recruitment Support Team for Coventry City Council. I led my team to support businesses to find the best local talent. We have access to over 29,000 registered Job Shop customers and we pre-screen to ensure businesses only see suitable candidates. I have proved we can succeed across all sectors and fill any level of job, with positions filled including; IT Software Developers, CNC Machine Programmers, Lab Techs, Aircraft Propeller Engineers and Office Managers. I have personally led in delivering support for large businesses such as Amazon, who I supported to recruit 850 of their Fulfilment Associates for their new site in Coventry. I have co-ordinated the Councils response to redundancy situations. Using my vast network of business contacts I have organised Jobs Fairs for affected staff at Covpress, Lawrence Automotive, Rolls Royce and Barclays. Through these I have supported over 1000 people to quickly get back in to work.Prior to working for Coventry City Council I worked for Balance CIC for 8 years. I led in creating the CIC which ‘spun out’ of Kingston Council. I led projects in Learning Disability Employment Support, Advocacy Support and support for young people with ASD as well as supporting an ESF Mental Health Employment Project which was awarded best ESF Employment Project in London.
