Glen Wright started his property career in Brisbane working in the Industrial and Commercial property market in 1991. In 2002 he founded Wright Property which became the number 1 privately owned commercial agency in south-east Queensland, the company grew to 50 people and was sold to Cushman and Wakefield one of the largest real estate firms in the world in 2015. Glen was appointed Managing Director for the Qld business which had over 200 employees and he led the team for Cushman and Wakefield for a further 4 years also sitting on the Australian Board and Asia Pacific Board for the group.In 2019 Glen started Wright Private Capital which is a strategic investor in Commercial and Industrial real estate and Private equity transactions. The company has completed a numbers of transactions in South East Queensland including a mixed use development of 8 buildings in Logan totally approximately $80m, an Aldi Shopping centre on the Gold Coast and a 100 hectare industrial park recently sold to Charter Hall which will become a $1.5b Logistics Estate. The company has several other projects in various stages of approvals and is constantly seeking further opportunities.On the Private Equity front the company has invested in several start up opportunities including early investments in mining companies, an online retail platform and a home care business Trilogy Care which Glen also sits on the Board.Glen’s real passion is Wright Pastoral which owns several properties across New South Wales and breeds and sells Wagyu Cattle. The companies goal is to be breeding high marbling cattle in the top 5% for Australian Wagyu beef to be exported around the world. Glen also sits on the Australian Wagyu Association Board.Glen’s philanthropic endeavors have included being a member and the principle financial backer of GIVIT a national online charity platform founded by his wife Juliette in 2009. Glen provided the seed capital and the family continues to support the charity today.
