Glen Alan is the Executive Director of the The Made IN Toronto Festival which is a year round festival of film, music and discussion connecting local filmmakers, musicians and the community through inspiring events.Since its inception in March 2011 The Made IN Toronto (MINT) Festival has received national exposure and has been endorsed by the Council Of Canadians Chair - Maude Barlow, Tony Clarke - the Executive Director of the Polaris Institute, The Canadian Diabetes Association and The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. MINT has also received accolades from award-winning Toronto Filmmakers such as Paul Saltzman, Lalita Krishna and Liz Marshall.MINT's interactive environmental and socially themed events have quickly become a powerful tool for community engagement. Responsible for Liaising with St. Lawrence BIA, The St. Lawrence Market and other Member Toronto Dollar businesses.Continued to actively promote and grow the Toronto Dollar in 2011. Toronto Dollar business membership had increased to 150% by Feb 2011 from 2009 levels. 100% Toronto Dollar acceptance in the South Market was achieved in February 2011. A total of 15 North Market businesses accepted Toronto Dollars as of Feb 2011.Toronto Dollar Sales had increased 300% in 2010 in the St. Lawrence Market.
