I am a dedicated and detail-oriented Biotechnology Master’s graduate at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, with a strong foundation in Chemistry from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. My passion lies in biotechnology research. Throughout my studies I have finished an internship with Southern Research where I learned the process of computer-aided drug discovery and the pipeline of drug development.My hands on experience extends to various applications of science including chemistry, biology & biotechnology laboratory settings. I have also rotated through Molecular, Microbiology, Toxicology and Anesthesia labs at University of Alabama in Birmingham Hospital. Throughout participating in the exciting laboratories, I have presented research on different topics such as estrogenic compounds activating the GPER in MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells & detecting proteins in Chinese Hamster Ovary Cells using primary and secondary antibodies.I am eager to leverage my expertise in drug design and molecular biology to contribute to innovative research and development in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
