With over two decades of clinical experience as an OB/Gyn, I bring a wealth of clinical knowledge. I have experience in working for private healthcare systems as well as regional rural health clinics. My training at one of the highest-rated medical centers placed me in a good position to independently care for my patients with both skill and compassion. Over the years, I gained not only clinical skills, but also skills in healthcare management, medical coding, billing, and electronic charting, and innovation such as Telehealth. In 2019, I moved into a completely different role as a Medical Director for a healthcare management system primarily caring for the Medicaid population. As such, I have spent the last few years learning valuable skills that allow me to combine my clinical knowledge with newfound skills. In my current role, I am tasked with developing and carrying out programs to help to bridge the gaps in this vulnerable population. I work to decrease patient obstacles such as lack of access and inequality in healthcare delivery.I specifically have expertise in utilization management, maternal child health initiatives and collaborations with community-based organizations, quality improvement across varying patient populations, accountable care organization assistance and management, healthcare policy, performance improvement projects, development and implementation of incentive programs to encourage delivery of high-quality patient care, and enacting programs to address social determinants of health. A strength of mine is translating data received into usable, understandable forms to provide updates across differing teams.I work well both independently and as a team. I have experience in standing up novel programs to address low value care and increase quality. I value team input and strive to ensure a workplace where everyone feels validated and appreciated.
