Assistant to Psychiatrist and four Psychiatric APRNs. Ensure all patients are aware of appointments and follow up. Take vital signs, update patient information when present in office. Liaise between patients and providers when patients experience problems in between appointments. Complete all admission and discharge paperwork. Make sure necessary documentation is complete to ensure coordination of care for each patient with their respective provider as well as other medical professionals, including neurologists, primary care, cardiologists, etc. Communicate with are pharmacies to ensure patients are obtaining their medications in a timely manner to safeguard patients from contracting any medication-induced illnesses like Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, Tardive Dyskinesia, etc. Assist patients with resources such as counseling, elderly assistance services, food banks, and other local support centers.

Conducted detailed investigation for referrals sent by the state to the county regarding the safety and wellbeing of children. Made decisions regarding child safety in their home, safely placed children facing immediate danger in custody of the department. Interviewed family members, alleged offenders, and alleged victims to ascertain child safety within their home environment. Drug tested household members as necessary. Worked with law enforcement to ensure safety of children and runaways. Testified in civil, district, and criminal court hearings.

Worked one on one with patients admitted to the Behavioral Health Unit of the hospital. Completed all admission and discharge documentation. Worked closely with hospital providers to ensure each patient received the services needed during their hospital stay. Held weekly progress meetings with physicians and treatment team to maintain coordination of care for each of our patients. Established a plan of action for each patient post-discharge, which included hoursing, medication adherence, and enrollment in all applicable psychiatric services to improve the likelihood for a healthy path to recovery.
