As CTO, I built the entire iCrumz application from the CEO (Matthew Graczyk)'s specifications.I created iCrumz.com, from provisioning Rack Space Cloud Servers and setting up the Linux OS to configuring DNS and secure certificates for the iCrumz domain, in addition to developing the iCrumz application.iCrumz version 1, now in production, is built on a Java, Spring, Tomcat platform with a no-framework Javascript front end.iCrumz version 2, now in development, is transitioning to a modern Node.js based, modular, Universal (also called isomorphic) all Javascript architecture. The completed could be emailed or printed and mailed to the customer. PHP framework Based WebsitesAfter studying the Mojavi PHP framework, I created a custom framework based on many of the principles. It has been used to create functioning websites. This framework facilitates the site owner's maintenance of the site without extensive HTML or CSS knowledge. It accomplishes this mission without using an external database, which simplifies the site-owner's interaction with the underlying code.

General Networks provides Computer Network consulting, sales, service and maintenance to businesses, educational and government institutions. As Technical Department Manager, I directed as many as seven field engineers and three administrative personnel. I made the following significant achievements while in this position:I Implemented a computer based management system to run the department which had been managed on paper and a white board.I Implemented an administration system which provided continuity of customer interaction from Sales to Technical and Accounting. I designed and developed software to support this administration system using Telemagic and then later created a more functional version using Microsoft Access.I Developed an engineer bonus system which made it possible for the company to overcome the loss of highly skilled engineers, while simultaneously increasing profits. Loss of skilled engineers was a significant barrier to the continued viability of the Technical department. The bonus program made it possible to increase engineer annual compensation from the 20k – 30k range up to the 60k – 80K range, and so attract and retain the skilled engineers required to make continued expansion of the department and company possible.

Pentabs developed Pension Administration software, built and sold the IBM PCs to run the software.I worked in the Hardware department, building and maintaining IBM PC and AT class computers and early Novel Networks servers.I also provided telephone support on these systems to customers.In this position I worked out the procedure for repairing Cordata computer monitors, which frequently failed due to a design weakness.

Sputtered Films manufactured thin-film research and semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment.Here I performed duties as an Assembly, Qualification, Troubleshooting and Field Installation engineer.In this capacity, I traveled to various companies in the US to install these sputter deposition systems; i.e., Texas Instruments, AMD Micro Devices, and AT&T Bell Labs.

L.P Associates manufactured lighting and film transport equipment for the motion picture theater industry. Here I performed and managed the assembly, qualification, troubleshooting and field installations of projection systems for theaters around southern California.While at L.P. Associates, I designed, built, and supported a theater automation system.
