Duke Award in 2018, the highest honor offered by the organization and for recognition of work on a children’s book, and the Corporate Operational Excellence Award in 2019 for performance on a Significance Determination Process (SDP) for an event at Catawba Nuclear Station. • Led and supported several Significance Determination Processes (SDPs) and Notice of Enforcement Discretions (NOEDs); collaborated and communicated with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) as well as external organizations like EPRI and other utilities while operating cross-departmentally at sites. Achieved on-time Green Risk/Acceptable Risk conclusions that were accepted by the NRC. • Updated Level 1 & 2 PRA models and equipment reliability databases in accordance with ASME/ANS standards through partnership with other PRA engineers. • Championed the delivery of a high-profile flooding model and draining analysis associated with the Harris Nuclear Plant. • Rebuilt Human Reliability Analysis (HRA) models and applied Operator knowledge; enhanced the software’s utilization, streamlined the process, and allowed the software to automatically compare Operator actions. • Serves as part of a team charged with improving a database used in tracking errors and improvements. • Modernizes and improves PRA applications such as the Risk Informed In-Service Inspection program, Maintenance Rule, and Electronic Risk Assessment Tool (ERAT) – Phoenix. • Generates information and data in support of a high wind study.
