We publish and run a series of events and publications around the brands of CIO Asia, MIS Asia, Computerworld Singapore and Computerworld Malaysia.We have an extensive database of C-Level and IT professionals across ASEAN and Hong Kong and can work with clients around LSE Events, Custom events and roundtables, publications, online and lead generation.My responsibilities include running sales across the region as well as growing and driving revenues. This includes building new events and continuing the growth of the online business.

As Sales Director I am working across Alphabet Media's suite of products, including FutureGov Forums and regional Summits, C-Level roundtables and online publishing initiatives. Started in 2004, Alphabet Media is a trade media company with a specialist focus on government, education, healthcare & security communities in the Asia Pacific. From our two offices in Singapore and Sydney we publish the award-winning FutureGov magazine, conduct public sector research, run certified training for civil servants, host award-winning government-to-government seminars and conferences, and manage custom publications for Microsoft, NEC, Visa, BlackBerry and SAP.

Responsible for launching FST Media Asia. Successfully launched and grew the office in Singapore covering both North and Southeast Asia.After successfully launching and running the first ASEAN Banking event in Singapore and the Who's Who of Financial Service publication, I relocated to Singapore and opened the office. In my time running the business in Asia we held a successful second ASEAN Banking event in Singapore, executed a successful Hong Kong Banking event and launched a Malaysian Banking event and a HK Insurance event. We also published a second successful magazine and also grew our electronic newsletter to being one of the preeminent sources of information to the FSI industry with over 27,000 readers weekly.I successfully sold and executed a dozen or more C-Level roundtables around the region in countries including Singapore, HK, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.I forged strong relationships in the industry with leading clients during my time here and grew the Asian business from a 1 person start up to a good sized office running as a stand alone business.The growth was also a reflection of FST Media's investment and commitment to growing the Asian business.FST Media is the region's leading provider of media and events for the FSI industry.During my time here I worked with some of the regions biggest clients including IBM, HP, EMC, HP, Telstra, Microsoft, CSC, Informatica and TCS.

I joined FST Media to help build and grow the Australian business but also with a view to expand and drive the business in to Asia. In my first year, I drove the sales team to deliver a 51% revenue increase year on year. I also helped grow the sales team and implement a more complete structured sales approach. We grew the number of events in the portfolio quite substantially during this time and also conducted scores of C-Level roundtables throughout the region. I sold and delivered on the first ASEAN Banking event for FST Media whilst based in Australia and also drove the launch of the well respected Who's Who of Financial Services publication in Asia.FST Media – is an Australian company that continues to expand its successful conferencing and publishing divisions in New Zealand and Asia. FST Media's team of journalists, conference producers and business development executives collaborate to deliver the largest and most widely-received technology conferences, seminars, roundtables and specialist publications for the financial services executive.

Owned and managed one of the leading Bar/Restaurant's in Patong, Thailand. With a capacity of over 100, this leading Australian bar featured a Family friendly environment with all the live sport on TV, possible the best kitchen/restaurant in Patong and 2 of the best bands in town - Chilli Jam and Ali & The Medicine Men.

During this time working both in Australia and throughout South East Asia I was heavily involved in working with the regions media and PR companies and vendors.MediaConnect provides Media Monitoring to many of Singapore largest Government Departments and MNCs.MediaConnect Asia also successfully ran several IT Journalist Forums across this time.I was responsible for launching and driving this company in to the market.

Published Stuff Magazine in Singapore, the leading technology and gadget magazine around the world. Implemented many changes to this global franchise including the popular Lifestyle section and the introduction of putting local models on the cover to reflect the market we work in. Signed many unique and out of category advertisers including OCBC, Nivea and Baize China One...advertisers not traditionally seen in technology titles.

Was the Sales Director on Australian Reseller News (ARN). During this period I managed a dynamic sales team that made ARN the most successful publication at IDG, with revenues in excess of $5 million.At its peak ARN had over 140 pages every week with a 55% ad to editorial ratio. ARN also had in excess of 2000 ad pages in a calendar year which was almost twice as many as any other publication in Australia.

Launched and edited Computerworld Today. This was IDG Australia's first daily news publication and was sent out as a 4 page fax.
