Accountable for all mining operations at Hail Creek Mine. This included overburden removal with 2 Draglines, 8 truck/shovel fleets (3 x 4100 XPC rope shovels), drill and blast, rehabilitation, civil projects, quarrying and coal mining activities. At its peak, the mining department had 938 employees and an operating budget in excess of $360M. Achievements while in this role:• 39% reduction in high potential incidents from 2017 to 2018. On track to deliver further reduction of 23% in 2019. • Introduction of coal scavenging fleet to maximise coal recovery. Recovered an additional 100kt from 2017-2019 (approximate profit $4.2M). Demobilised as coal recovery techniques improved in the existing fleet without a noticeable drop in coal recovery.• Manage team through sale process to Glencore• 25% reduction in site operating costs following the restructure and productivity initiatives.• Bypass crushing of coal to add to product mix. 150kt in 2018 (approximate profit $3M).• Reclamation of co-disposed tailings and rejects to produce thermal feed stock.• Exceeded rehabilitation targets in 2017 and 2018, including trials of different slope contours and seeding methods.• Installation of pit inundation levees and sediment dams• Excavation of box-cut in steeply dipping area with no major geotechnical issues.• Exceeded budget coal mined in 2018.• Introduction of dust suppressant and irrigation systems to reduce dust• Introduction of Guardvant in-cab fatigue monitoring system• Reduction of long term absentees from 19 in 2017 to 4 in 2019.

The Manager Production Planning is responsible for the Mining Engineering, Geology, Logistics and Survey teams at the GEMCO manganese operation. The Manager Resource Planning and Development is responsible for creating long term value for the GEMCO manganese mine and TEMCO manganese smelter by analysing, developing and verifying options that deliver long term value. Key achievements/projects in these roles:• Delivery of Short-Term Grade Control Model for the GEMCO orebody.• Implementation of product segregation strategy, delivering $12M of benefits.• Development and implementation of wet season preparation and water management standards and procedures.• Generating new product types and working through options for shipping including TML management.• Introduction of critical risk auditing to manage critical risks with Production Planning. • Review of GEMCO Resource and Reserve and valuation of asset. - Strategic assessment of resource including future mining options.• Investigation/review of options to manage TEMCO Fume Dam Mud (tailings) to mitigate environmental and health risk and closure liability. - Hazardous material management including exposure risk to personnel, environmental risk and health management.• Investigation into variance between predicted (modelled) yield and actual yields at GEMCO.• Review of haulroad options at GEMCO to consider high, mid and low capital options.• Life of Asset Plan and Closure Plan review• Investigation into mining options to open a quarry at GEMCO in close proximity to residences (nearest dwelling 87m). • Participation in workshops to review regional planning models for transition into South32 business structure as part of BHPBilliton demerger.

Responsible for the Mining Engineering, Geology and Survey teams at Saraji Mine. This role is accountable for short and medium term mine planning (0-2 years), as well as quality control, Infrastructure Planning and Contractor Accommodation forecasting. Key achievements in this role were delivery the 5 year and 2 year plans, successful roll out 1SAP, implementation of weekly integrated schedule, relocation of four draglines from Norwich Park Mine through Saraji Mine.
