About Glenn Benham
From iconic Adelaide landmarks such as the twin bridges across the Port River, to Chevron’s $63b Gorgon Project, I have been involved in a huge range of varying construction projects through my career. After a stint on some of the largest resources sites in the Pilbara region, a penchant for hospital projects has seen me travel from Adelaide, via coastal SA, all the way to Christchurch in New Zealand and back to carry out Electrical installations from start to finish. That same appetite for hospitals has now taken me in a new direction, managing the facade team at the new Calvary Adelaide hospital. Never one to shy away from a challenge, I'm always looking for ways to further my knowledge, hone my skills and meet great new people along the way.
Listed skills include Project Management, Leading Hand, A Class Electrician, Eeha Training, and 5 others.

I would allocate tasks amongst trade teams and ensure work is completed in line with contractual obligations. Other responsibilities included scheduling resources and equipment to meet production targets anddeveloped a strong culture of safety conscientiousness. I would work closely with IIF teams to mitigate safety hazards and improve safety performance. Construction tasks included coordinating teams pulling cables, fitting off devices, and installing cable tray supports. Teams would then carry out testing of installed devices and complete the corresponding paperwork, requiring coordination and cooperation with both internal and client side quality assurance personnel. This role also required working closely with multidisciplinary teams including rope access technicians, riggers and scaffolders, crane operators and civil machine operators. Working in a dangerous environment meant that risk management was a high priority. This included filling out Take 5’s and JHA’s, helping to create work method statements and actively attend toolbox and prestart meetings. All teams managed remained injury and incident free. There was an emphasis on the crew to regulate workflow; prioritising tasks to meet tight construction deadlines. I was often designated a mentor for apprentice Electricians. This was an honorary role that offered no additional renumeration, but i felt was rewarding being able to assist with technical queries and enabling their ongoing professional development. I would always look for opportunities to minimise safety incidents on site and drove a strong safety message amongst working crews. Show less
