After 25 years in Primary School Education as a Teacher and Head Teacher, I took early retirement to train as a Baptist Minister. I served two congregations in Yorkshire, at Todmorden ( from May 2000 until February 2011) and then in Huddersfield from February 2011 until July 2019. I retired from holding full full Pastoral Care responsibility (at the age of 70) but have continued to assist in my local Baptist Church, (now in Tywyn, iWales) in regular preaching, pastoral care of a Home Study group, asisting with the delivering of training programmes and occasionally leading worship. I have also been accredited as a Supernumary minioster in the Methodist Church and assist in opur local Methodist church. I am a trained classical singer and I also play Guitar.In the past, I have been a regular guest columnist for a local newspaper and a frequent Religious Broadcaster for local BBC Radio.I hold degrees in Education (BEd and MA in Education Leadership ) and in Theology (BA Hons and a Post Graduate Diploma in Preaching) having studied at the Universities of Exeter, Canterbury (Kent) Manchester and at Spurgeon's College (London)I am married to Chrissie, a retired Physiotherapist and formerly a senior Team Leader in the Yorkshire and Humberside Regional NHS Trust. We have five adult children and six grandchildren.
