Provide professional economic development services for unique public-private Local Development Corporation, structured as a 501 C-3 organization, serving rapidly growing community of 45,000 in suburban Rochester. Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing local community and economic development activities. Serve a liaison between government, business and the building industry. Engaged in marketing commercially viable real estate, preparing community revitalization plans and attracting new business and industry.

Responsible for all business development and marketing activities for mid-sized engineering and architectural firm with operations in New York and Texas. Supervised proposal generation, networking, and promotional activities for firm. Also provided professional services to clients engaged in community planning and economic development projects including military facility reuse studies (BRAC 2005) and reuse project implementation.

Served as head of all planning and development programs for county government, the Seneca County Industrial Development Agency, the Seneca Army Depot Local Redevelopment Authority, and a Local Development Corporation. Responsible for community development program funding, housing programs, industrial project financing, economic development marketing, infrastructure installation, airport development, tourism promotion, Empire Zone administration and major loan portfolio for industrial and retail businesses. Directed several not-for-profit local development corporations created to address redevelopment needs, historic preservation opportunities, and new business creation. Also served as Executive Director of Seneca Army Depot (BRAC '95) Local Redevelopment Authority (LRA) overseeing civilian reuse of second largest military facility in New York State. Implemented redevelopment plan, managed consultant contracts, identified new users for facilities and negotiated conversion of all surplus Army property with Department of Defense and public/private reusers. Secured Federal and State resources necessary for successful redevelopment efforts.

Identified potential clients, built business relationships, created marketing tools, and accessed economic development incentive programs for the property and prospective tenants. Secured "Build Now-NY" and Foreign Trade Zone status for the

Administered areawide industrial development program for public benefit corporation. Responsible for development and management of over $40 million in assets including corporate parks, multi-tenant facilities and business development loan funds. Provided project financing for private initiatives and conducted industrial development marketing programs for the area. Assisted with downtown development programs designed to strengthen retail operations in City of Batavia and several villages.

Management of consulting team providing services to public and private clients of a large engineering firm. Extensive work on environmental impact statements, fiscal impact assessments, land use studies, growth management issues, and organizational development. Other work included community redevelopment studies, facility location analyses, and preparation of economic adjustment strategies for City of Rochester and other clients.

Established federally designated Economic Development District for the area and provided assistance to State and local agencies undertaking strategic planning.
