About Glenn Downing

I've been teaching in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin since 1995.My most important goal is to increase the chances of my students being sought after for software development positions.In that vein I stress several software engineering tools and processes, like source control, issue tracking, unit testing, coverage tools, acceptance testing, automated documentation, and pair programming.I currently teach the following:CS 371p: Object-Oriented ProgrammingA course on object-oriented programming using C++, Google Test, gcov, Doxygen, GitHub, and git.CS 373: Software EngineeringA course on software engineering using Python, Java, unittest, coverage, pydoc, GitHub, and git.
