Please read my bio below and feel free to connect if you would like to find out more.Glenn Edney is an Ocean ecologist, underwater naturalist, photographer, professional diver and skipper. He has been exploring the Ocean and interacting with Ocean life for more than 30 years. He is a Deep Ecology Practitioner and holds a Masters degree in Holistic Science from Schumacher College and Plymouth University.His ongoing research is focused on understanding the Ocean as a living being and the role she plays as the primary life support system for our planet. He also has a strong interest in bringing together traditional indigenous Ocean knowledge and modern scientific ecological understanding.He is the author of three books and numerous articles and papers on Ocean related topics.Glenn’s unique perspective offers a new vision for our relationship with the living Ocean and for recognition of the Ocean as a living being with intrinsic value far beyond the benefits she provides humanity.Together with his wife Janey, and other Ocean advocates, they have founded Te Wairua O Te Moananui-Ocean Spirit Charitable Trust, with the aim of fostering in humanity a deeper and more harmonious relationship with the living Ocean.
