Commercially, the tin tiles are being used in suspended ceilings, as well as, being installed the original way with hammer and nails. They are used in restaurants, office buildings, bars, night clubs, retail stores, churches and movie sets. Residentially they are used in every room, adding elegance to a dining room, fun to a playroom and nostalgia to the whole house. Kitchen remodeling with these tile are very popular. You can do a ceiling or a backsplash with a faux (hand painted) finish or use our new copper sheets. People even use the tin tiles for wall hangings, picture frames, inserts and many arts & craft projects. The Tinman's tiles are ORIGINAL DESIGNS dating back to the 1800's. The tin ceiling tiles were used as an alternative to the decorative plaster of the time. The tin ceiling tiles come in a shiny silver finish, which can be paint directly to with an oil-based paint. You can also paint the metal tiles gold for a brilliant metallic look. Note: We now have the tin ceiling tiles in copper sheets. The do-it-yourselfers love the metal tiles as well.
