Glenn Grenier has a commercial litigation practice focusing on construction and aviation.Construction - Glenn has represented parties involved in construction disputes including owners/developers, financiers, bonding companies, contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.He is one of his firm's leading experts on the Ontario Construction Lien Act. He has published numerous articles and given numerous seminars on construction law, remedies and dispute resolution. He has asserted and defended lien claims, trust claims, bond claims, delay claims, acceleration claims, claims of professional negligence concerning construction design and construction defects across Ontario and across the country. Some of the projects in which he has been engaged include the Detour Gold Mine in Northern Ontario, the Trump Tower in Toronto, the Canadian Opera House, Pearson International Airport as well as every major car plant in south central Ontario. Glenn was a member of the executive of the Canadian Bar Association, Construction Section for 10 years.Aviation - Glenn has represented all manner of clients in aviation related disputes across Canada. He is general counsel to the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association as well as the Canadian Air Search and Rescue Associations. He was selected as class counsel by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice to represent the passengers of Air Transit 236 following the forced landing of that flightin the Azores in 2001. He has represented parties in wrongful injury and wrongful death cases involving aircraft accidents including the Air France Flight 358. He has represented aerodrome owners in jurisdictional disputes with municipal and provincial authorities. Glenn taught Aviation Law at the University of Western Ontario for four years.
