During my junior year of high school, I took an accounting class in which I was given multiple opportunities. The most influential event of my life was joining the UIL accounting team. As I went through countless hours of learning and hard work for the team, my passion for the field grew. Upon graduation, I decided to further my education within the field. I am currently attending the University of North Texas in pursuit of a BBA/MS Accounting degree. Not only am I passionate about my classwork and degree, but I also enjoy being involved in two very special organizations. I started off as the treasurer of the National Association of Black Accountants and later became a regular member. I am also a member of the Professional Accounting Student Society. By being a part of these organizations, I have accounted up to 42 hours of volunteering this past year.With devotion to my studies and activities, I have gained a hand full of soft and technical skills. I am looking to further those skills through experiences in future jobs and internships.As a young adult I like to have fun and experience life with my friends. I enjoy random vacations and traveling is one of the biggest things I want to do in life because I want to explore the world. There are so many unique cultures in the world and I dream of being able to bring them back home and adapting some of those traditions into my own life.Throughout my life I have gone through many hardships, each one of which has made me become the man I am. In high school, I worked extremely hard in the hopes of getting multiple scholarships. Gaining over five scholarships, I plan on graduating in 2023 debt free in my major. In college, I am looking forward to having Internships within the field of Audit accounting and traveling within the study abroad program offered here at UNT. With all these accomplishments, I believe that I will take these opportunities and apply them to any job that is presented to me.
