Working in the Metals recycling field optimizing Operations and developing projects to improve company-wide Metals recovery rates.

Responsible for Safe and Environmentally compliant operations of (10) Waste-to-Energy facilities and (2) MSW Transfer stations in Covanta's Mid Atlantic region. In addition, responsible for strategic operations, financial oversight, corporate procedural implementation, planning and executing programs for all phases of start up, expansions, turnaround, and re-engineering projects in the region. Diverse operational, construction and engineering experience extends to production, logistics, cost control, HR, and client relations.

Oversee the Safe, efficient and Environmentally compliant Operation and Maintenance of a 3000 Ton/Day Mass burn "Waste to Energy" facility.

On site technical representative for Covanta for final stages of construction of a 500 Ton/Day "Waste to Energy" facility. Supported partners Management in staffing, outfitting, and O&M planning prior to facility "start up"

Responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient and environmentally compliant operations of a 975 ton per day EFW facility. Coordinated day to day operations and maintenance activities as well as staffing and safety and training programs. Managed a 35 million dollar Air pollution controls upgrade to the facility which involved dealing with multiple vendors, contractors, local and state agencies to ensure project was completed on time and within budget. Developed key employees for promotional opportunities to support company growth.

Responsibilities included overseeing and ensuring the safe, efficient and environmentally compliant operations of a 750 ton per day WTE facility. coordinating the day to day activities of the operations and maintenance staff as well as the safety and training programs. Additional responsibilities included reviewing outage work scopes and schedules, contract administration and preparing operations, training and safety reports on a regular basis.

Manged large asbestos abatement projects at Madison Square Garden, NYC and the Pan Am Building, NYC. Responsibilities include Bid reviews and preparations, project layout, engineering controls, staffing, soliciting and hiring sub contractors, scheduling, purchasing and managing project budgets. In addition, interfacing with state and local agencies, general contractors, client engineers, and trade unions to perform the scope of the projects.

Held various positions around the organization from Computer Supervisor in main headquartersAssistant Engineer program assignments included outage coordinator at Astoria Queens and Ravenswood, LIC Power Generating facilities. projects included Boiler and Turbine Generator outage planning/scheduling and contractor administration. Operations watch supervisor at the Ravenswood facility, and then Construction Engineer at the Ravenswood facility for several large Asbestos abatement projects involving Boilers, Turbines and plant Steam piping.
