In September 2014, I joined Seattle's Union Gospel Mission as the Volunteer Engagement Manager. I am helping with the management, scheduling, recruiting, organizing, facilitating, planning, etc. of volunteers throughout Seattle's Union Gospel Mission and all of its various programs, ministries, outreaches and activities.I have extensive non-profit management experience in a wide range of areas. I have an MBA degree and I am a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CDP (Certified Development Professional), and a former CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner). I also have 1,000's of hours of continuing education in accounting, auditing, fraud prevention and detection, non-profit management, development and advancement, fund-raising, HR and personnel practices, etc.I brought oversight, leadership, and expertise to all business, academic, and spiritual aspects of Rainier Christian Schools (RCS) programs and operations, including staff supervision and training, curriculum, HR, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivables, etc. This oversight, management, and leadership included multiple cost centers--three preschools, three elementary campuses, a middle school, a high school, transportation, maintenance, and business operations. In my early years at RCS, I established a new development program, raising $4,000,000 in giving over ten years. I developed and cultivated relationships with donors, board members, businesses, community organizations, parents, students, etc. As VP and Manager of Loan Quality Review and as an Audit Supervisor, I was the lead officer to develop a risk-based branch audit review and a lending "grading" system that were incorporated into the corporate compensation plans for 1,000+ branch managers and lending officers. I have extensive knowledge and experience evaluating internal controls of corporate, branch, and lending functions. I worked extensively with external auditors, regulators, and state and federal agencies.
