I teach several courses in the field of hydrogeology. Most of my students are geological engineering students, but I also teach geochemistry, environmental engineering, civil engineering, and geophysics students. Most of my methods of choice include isotopes, hydrochemistry, and dissolved gases that help us understand groundwater flowpaths and mixing of source waters. Also some age dating groundwater. I worked on groundwater surface water interactions in Montana basins that are experiencing land use changes such as urbanization and changes in agricultural practices.

This was a temporary position where I worked on water quality of high elevation lakes in the Sierra Nevada. More specifically...establishing critical loads of acidity for these lakes.

I worked on characterizing the hydrology and hydrogeology of Yosemite National Park using isotopic tracers and dissolved noble gases, in connection with our changing climate.

Conducted groundwater/surface water research in the Sierra Nevada.

Conducted several water resources and environmental consulting projets.

Mostly conducted geotechnical and geologic hazard investigations. Some water resource related projects.
