• Working on the CitiPower electricity distribution network which includes the Melbourne CBD and inner suburbs• Working within the Urban Projects Team. The team is responsible for new and upgraded electricity connections, asset relocations and public lighting• My role as a Project Manager at the CitiPower Burnley office includes, but is not limited to:• Stakeholder engagement and management including:• Customers (private, companies and developers, schools, hospitals, local and state government, councils etc.)• Builders and Architects• Engineering consultants (electrical, mechanical, structural etc.)• Registered Electrical Contractors (REC)• Roads Authorities (i.e. VicRoads)• Other departments/teams within CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy business• Project scoping which includes:• Analysis of the network capability using GIS, Google Maps and site visits• Determining the Least Cost Technically Acceptable (LCTA) solution for the customer (dollars and amperes)• Cost estimating and subsequent offer/contract preparation for release to the customer• Detailed design management through the design lifecycle including changes driven by construction constraints• Construction file development including project timeframes, labour and material commitments and cost forecasting/commitment• Managing multiple projects through life ensuring all stakeholder expectations are controlled, risk is managed and projects remain on time and within budget• Liaising with works planners and construction crews as needed when projects encounter variations and constructability issues• Growing revenue within the business by offering customers alternatives to the ‘norm’. This is often a win for the business and the customer• SAP database management including:• Setting up and overseeing networks/jobs• Maintaining data integrity• Project closeout

Responsibilities• Lead the Port Melbourne depot team.• Manage four contracts with CitiPower/Powercor providing technical resource capability to their electricity distribution network; primarily in Melbourne however throughout Victoria as well. The resources provided were inclusive of Civil workers, Cable jointers, Electrical fitters, and Supervision and Project Management.• Financial Control (responsible for a turnover of approximately $6 million per annum).• Client and other stakeholder management.• Manage subcontractors.• Manage depot and job site compliance and reporting including Health, Safety and Environment, Incident/Emergency Management and Response, WorkSafe Victoria (report and manage incidents on an as needs basis) and Staff training.Achievements• I challenged the culture at the Port Melbourne depot upon my arrival. Safety and productivity were my focus.• Increased staff harmony and retention.• Increased productivity from a negative Gross Contribution to +10%.• Developed and nurtured client relationships.• Implemented strong health, safety and environmental compliance (both at the job site and reporting). During my tenure the site had no serious health, safety or environmental incidents.

Responsibilities• Lead the Operations and Maintenance team.• Manage site compliance and reporting including Health, Safety and Environment, Emergency Management and Response, Cultural Heritage, Energy Safe Victoria (Bushfire Mitigation Plan, Electric Line Clearance Management Plan, Electricity Safety Management Scheme) and WorkSafe Victoria (report and manage incidents on an as needs basis).• Financial Control (responsible for 2 budgets totalling approximately $1.5 million per annum).• Reporting to Wind Farm owner and operator on a regular and ad-hoc basis as required.• Oversee training for all staff on site.• Contracts and Contractor management.• Management of KPI’s including Turbine availability and production, Electrical reticulation availability, Health, Safety and Environment and Staff satisfaction.• Manage staff performance.• Represent the Waubra Operations and Maintenance team in the Head Office environment and within the local community.Achievements• Successfully took over the site from the Construction Manager in early 2009.• Successfully mobilised the site in preparation for Operations and Maintenance in late 2008/early 2009 (recruiting, vehicle/equipment/tools purchase, training etc.).• During my tenure the site had no serious health, safety or environmental incidents.• The site achieved high turbine and electrical reticulation availability.

Responsibilities• Develop needs and requirements analysis resulting in clear and concise requirement specifications. • Oversee OHS practices project wide.• Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, safety and duty of care and the quality management system.Achievements• Integral in the successful delivery of the specified product to the customer. • Successful completion of in-service support contract negotiations and then phase-in activities which included the implementation of project specific processes to fulfil contractual requirements.
