Project Manager
Current• Working on the CitiPower electricity distribution network which includes the Melbourne CBD and inner suburbs• Working within the Urban Projects Team. The team is responsible for new and upgraded electricity connections, asset relocations and public lighting• My role as a Project Manager at the CitiPower Burnley office includes, but is not limited to:• Stakeholder engagement and management including:• Customers (private, companies and developers, schools, hospitals, local and state government, councils etc.)• Builders and Architects• Engineering consultants (electrical, mechanical, structural etc.)• Registered Electrical Contractors (REC)• Roads Authorities (i.e. VicRoads)• Other departments/teams within CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy business• Project scoping which includes:• Analysis of the network capability using GIS, Google Maps and site visits• Determining the Least Cost Technically Acceptable (LCTA) solution for the customer (dollars and amperes)• Cost estimating and subsequent offer/contract preparation for release to the customer• Detailed design management through the design lifecycle including changes driven by construction constraints• Construction file development including project timeframes, labour and material commitments and cost forecasting/commitment• Managing multiple projects through life ensuring all stakeholder expectations are controlled, risk is managed and projects remain on time and within budget• Liaising with works planners and construction crews as needed when projects encounter variations and constructability issues• Growing revenue within the business by offering customers alternatives to the ‘norm’. This is often a win for the business and the customer• SAP database management including:• Setting up and overseeing networks/jobs• Maintaining data integrity• Project closeout
