This atmospheric air plasma is highly chemically activated and oxidizes any organic components in paints and other coating materials. The plasma process converts a significant portion of the removed organic coating into water vapor and carbon dioxide, leaving behind a lower volume of solids of mostly inorganic pigments. This system has been used to demonstrate the extreme versatility of the technology across a wide range of substrates, coating types, and removal conditions.

I was on the start up team of Barnes & Noble Superstores. I was employee #6, I served on the executive committee of the company and was involved in key strategic decisions and implementation from start up through the public offering. In my primary role I was responsible for over $2 billion in inventory. My work also included site selection, long term financial planning and financial reporting.

Bookstop Inc. was a Austin based national chain of bookstores that was at one time the fourth-largest bookselling chain in the United States. The chain "pioneered the superstore concept" and was innovative in the use of discounting and inventory analysis. In 1989 Barnes & Noble acquired the company, at which point some of the Bookstop employees relocated to NYC to start up Barnes and Noble Superstores.
