This position was managing all aspects of an electronics account operations in APAC for DB Schenker out of the regional office in Singapore. Covering four main locations in Singapore, India, Japan and Korea which are split between typical contract logistics activities and OEM specification reverse logistics including value added services. Also covering Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong with specific screening processes and domestic transport in Philippines, Singapore and Japan.Roles & responsibilities• In conjunction with the customer to drive key initiatives and scale planning of the operations for the APAC region covering this electronics accounts business• Leading operational excellence through 5S, continuous improvement initiatives and monthly performance reviews with client• Evaluated productivity results to suggest and facilitate actions to improve within operations and facilities • Advised supported countries on optimising processes including facilities to support customer volume growth• Responsible for regional alignment of processes across countries, overall compilation including creation and maintenance of SOPs• Overall leader for regional operations planning and special events control and reporting• Constructing the framework before conducting audits in the country operations to ensure process /documentation compliance, quality, OHS and worker welfare adherence• Liaise with the IT account management team for implementations, improving reporting capabilities as well as defining EDI’s with client’s systems and 3rd parties • Support implementation of new business projects, working with project management team guiding prioritisation of schedules, driving operations process mapping identifying, controlling risks• Manage outstanding damage claims from customer• Collaboration with countries to provide the best solution and tracking of CAR (Corrective Actions Report)
