Glenn D. Harris is recognized as an expert on the affluent consumer and, in particular, their decision making behaviors as it relates to consumer goods, travel and luxury brands. Prior to establishing The Haute Group in 2003, now Beau Monde Media, Harris was the Head of Marketing and Public Relations for American Express, Latin America. In this role, Harris developed strategy and lead a team to develop and implement programs to stimulate spend on the America Express card. He worked with tourism boards, luxury goods retailers, and five star resorts and created numerous successful programs. Harris developed programs focused on the Centurion and Platinum Cardholders in Latin America while at American Express. In working with these clients, Harris observed a void in terms of how these consumers obtain information to make their travel decisions. Harris observed that the primary source of information was word of mouth or through a travel agent as there were no reference books on upscale travel. From this opportunity, The Haute Group was born. The company brings together affluent consumers with upscale travel experiences. The company now produces media initiatives focused on the affluent consumer. Prior to his tenure with American Express, Merchant Services, Harris was the Director of Marketing for AT&T responsible for the Caribbean.
