The TechSoup Global Network is a group of leading civil society organizations in 70 countries that has reached more than 1M NGOs and delivered more than $10.1B USD in technology tools and philanthropic services, now serving NGOs in 236 countries.In collaboration with partners, I developed international remote co-design methods that span geographic and cultural boundaries, while advancing projects of strategic value.* Iteratively co-designed eLearning programs that help local NGOs access, deliver, and create blended (online + in-person) learning resources, firmly rooted in local contexts. In partnership with the Aga Khan Foundation, in both Mozambique and with the Kenya Community Development Foundation in Kenya.* Explored internationalization of TechSoup Boost, an initiative to understand how subscription and membership models can better serve NGOs with affordable technology in different parts of the world, experimenting with partners in Chile and Brazil.* Led program for the 2017 TechSoup Global Network Partner Summit, convening of 68 NGO partners from six continents.

Developed international partnerships and programs.* Trained NGOs in design thinking and lean startup methods in Malaysia, Mozambique, the Netherlands, Poland, and Singapore. * Developed new partner relationships with social innovation organizations in Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia for the TechSoup Asia regional initiative.* Led launches of new TechSoup Global Network Partners in Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Israel, Italy, Japan, and Sweden.* Led program for the 2014 TechSoup Global Network Partner Summit, a convening of 50+ NGO partners from six continents.

• Strategy / Funding: Project manager for the TechSoup Three-Year Strategic Plan and GrowthCampaign. • IT Infrastructure: Managed series of projects to de-couple and upgrade core e-commerce platform (Microsoft Commerce Server) to enable new features and enhance back-end capabilities.

Developed a electronics recycling company from the ground floor. Acted in various senior management roles, built and trained a staff, and shaped policies and practices. Company launched first location in Silicon Valley and successfully expanded to second location in San Francisco.• Systems Development / Process Design: Created core environmental accountability tracking system by leveraging a commercial off-the-shelf asset tracking software package and bar coding system. Tackled shipping and logistics from the start.• Sales / Marketing: Developed company’s sales messaging for consumer and enterprise clients, resulting in a greater than 90% conversion rate at two retail outlets. Designed sales pitch used at all locations.• Strategic and Financial Analysis: Created system to track customer behavior down to each customer visit. Analyzed customer data to quantify customers’ points of reference and return customer visits. Analyzed revenue trends for entire company.

Responsibilities in project management, policy analysis, organizational development, operations, financial management, contract administration, research, and supervision.• Project managed the creation of two large websites from initial vision to launch: www.fremont.gov and employee intranet. Increased external traffic by 176%. Led implementation team, directing tasks and training of more than 100 employees.• Restructured copying and printing operations to reduce costs by 50% while maintaining comparable level of service. Switched to more effective off-site outsourcing model. Developed RFP to select vendor.• Led negotiations with Comcast Corporation over comprehensive review of City’s cable franchise agreement. Successfully secured three times more funding than industry benchmark. Hired and managed technical consultant. Served as contract administrator for cable franchise agreement.

Classes taught: Introduction to Public Policy Analysis; Race and Public Policy. Led weekly discussion section and developed educational materials. Coached students one-on-one. Evaluated students’ papers and tests. Managed general administrative details.

Developed five strategies for effectively marketing and communicating middle-school math reform programs to parents. Authored political analysis of “Parents and Math Reform.”

Created a national online guide to graduate programs in science and technology policy. Conceptualized online format, structured information architecture, and compiled content.
